Get the most out of your child's music lessons
Don't waste lesson time on the fundamentals when they should be learning technique and musicality. Music Ace Deluxe teaches note reading, rhythm, and ear training at home, patiently, playfully, and at your child's own pace.

A lesson, a game, and something of their own
Every lesson works the same way, so your child always knows what to do next, and so do you.
Maestro Max explains one idea, then asks for it back
A lesson is Maestro Max and your child, one idea at a time. He shows it, your child does it, and he doesn't move on until they have it. About twenty minutes.

Then a game, with a score to beat
The same skill, scored. Your child will play it again to beat the score, and that is the practice happening. Many of the games are played to real music: Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Bach.

And a place to write music of their own
Between lessons they can open a Bach prelude and change it, or start from nothing. Notes with faces on a staff, a keyboard underneath, and a play button.

They always know where they are, and so do you
The lesson menu describes every lesson and game, and shows completion status and game high scores right on the card. Your child finishes a lesson, plays its game, and comes back to beat their score. That repetition is the practice.
Lessons build in careful order from the staff and the keyboard through rhythm, scales, and ear training: see all 36 lessons.

Twenty minutes, a few times a week
One sitting, one lesson
Twenty minutes completes a lesson, usually the game too. Before school, after homework, or while dinner cooks.
Two or three sittings a week
That pace keeps a lesson ahead of what their teacher is asking for. More is fine; the lessons wait.
Beat the score
The game after each lesson is where the repetition happens. They'll go back to it on their own, because the score is theirs.
Ready for Saturday's lesson
They walk in able to count the rhythm and name the notes, and the lesson goes to the music.

Any instrument, including voice. Beginners from about eight.
How old should they be?
Beginners from about eight, and intermediate students of any age. Starting lessons, or a year or two in, is the range it was made for.
Which instrument?
Any, including voice. Music Ace teaches the music, not the instrument: reading, rhythm, and pitch. The piano keyboard appears in lessons as a map of how music fits together, not as a piano course.
Do we need a keyboard or any equipment?
No. A computer, Chromebook, or iPad with sound is all it takes. A MIDI keyboard can be plugged in, but nothing requires one.
Do I need to sit with them?
No. Maestro Max does the explaining and the lessons are self-paced. Plenty of parents watch the first one, and then get their evening back.
What if they're not in lessons yet?
It works on its own as a first introduction to reading and hearing music, and it makes the first real lesson much easier when it comes.
Can I see how they're doing?
The lesson menu shows every lesson's completion and every game's high score, the same screen your child sees. Sit down together and look.
Make the lessons go further
